Overview
TBCAF Passport is the companion app for the Tampa Bay Coffee & Art Festival. This policy describes what information the app collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
Account Information
You can sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, or with an email address, through our authentication provider (Amazon Cognito). Regardless of which sign-in method you choose, we collect your email address and an account identifier from Cognito — we never see your social account password, and we don't receive any other data from Google, Apple, or Facebook beyond your name and email. We use this to identify your account and keep your points, discoveries, and preferences in sync across devices.
Camera Access
The app requests camera access solely to scan QR codes at vendor booths. We do not access, store, or transmit camera images — only the scanned code text is sent to our servers.
Activity Data
We collect the vendors you discover, ratings and tasting notes you write, challenges you complete, and itinerary/follow-up selections you make. This data powers your points total, leaderboard position, and personalized recommendations.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data or share it with third-party advertisers or analytics networks. We do not use tracking SDKs. Data is sent only to our own backend to operate the app's features.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can reset your session and disassociate collected activity from your device at any time from Settings → Start Over. To permanently delete your account and all associated data — discoveries, ratings, tasting notes, challenges, itinerary, follow-ups, and raffle entries — use Settings → Delete Account. This is irreversible. You can also request deletion by contacting us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
TBCAF Passport is intended for general festival attendees and is not directed at children under 13.
